Workshop:

Dimensions of Meaning, an inquiry into the spirituality of the Map of Meaning

In this workshop I share with you the Map of Meaning as a simple, non-religious, profound way to make sense of a spiritual view of life. There is a slipping away of traditional views of the world and religion as a source of groundedness and guidance. Yet spirituality is alive and well, and often a lonely experience. Working with the Map of Meaning we explore how the Map can provide a strong and safe container for us to come together to share what we have in common and yet retain our uniqueness. In this workshop we also explore concepts like grace, inner knowing, faith.

I have found the Map of Meaning a strong framework for guiding my life over the past 25 years. At the same time I have always had a strong spiritual and psychological approach to how I live my life. In this series of workshops we take the six dimensions of the Map and explore them in depth.

  • Inspiration

  • Unity with Others

  • Service to Others

  • Expressing full potential

  • Integrity with self

  • Reality of self and circumstances

The process we use is to ponder a series of questions on each dimension and share in small groups some of our insights into how this dimension of meaning has found expression in our lives to this point, and how we might like to develop it in the future. We draw on our inner experience be that spiritual or not.

This workshop will be running in partnership with Meaningful Ageing Australia in 2025. Please register your interest below and we will keep you informed.

Time: 60 minutes for each session.
